ABLOC Partnerships - Team Qhubeka Assos

Team Qhubeka

Team Qhubeka is a unique cycling team. In their own words: “they race for something bigger than themselves”. Former Olympic cyclist Douglas Ryder has formed a team whose main goal is to help people in Africa move forward. With the help of a bicycle. Thus improving accessibility to schools, clinics and jobs. The hand at the back of the jersey is a reminder that every Qhubeka bicycle is a helping hand.

Team Qhubeka and ABLOC share the same philosophy. We both feel that sport can unite and inspire us to make this world a better place. By challenging each other and by visiting places, meeting people and setting goals we can improve ourselves and the world around us. The Tour de France of 2021 marks the beginning of a collaboration where ABLOC keeps the team hydrated after the race and we try to give people in Africa a little push.

Qhubeka is a charity that moves people forward with bicycles. People earn bicycles through our programmes, improving their access to schools, clinics and jobs.

A bicycle is a tool that helps people to travel faster and further, and to carry more. In the face of extreme and persistent poverty, bicycles can change lives by helping to address socioeconomic challenges at the most basic level – helping people to get where they need to go.

Donate and change a life!

Consider making a reoccurring donation to Qhubeka.
For just $18 a month you could donate a complete
